Blackjack Online Tips and Strategies

When playing Blackjack online, it can sometimes be difficult to know exactly how you should play in order to give yourself the best chance of success. Blackjack is a game that has a huge amount of different strategies in place; this can make it difficult for two main reasons. Firstly, you might not know the best one to take on board. Secondly, it can be quite a lot to remember.

With all of this being taken into account, sometimes beginner players need a little bit of guidance in order to make sure they’re on the right path. Once you’re past the beginner stage, you can try somewhere like if you want to really push forward and become a black belt in playing Blackjack. So, for beginners, there are four main tactics that you will want to focus on in order to improve your skills.

When to split

Splitting is an important part of Blackjack. There are a number of different times when you should think about splitting or not splitting; however, we are just going to focus on one time when you should always split, and one time you should never split. Make sure you check the rules of the table first, not all online tables allow splitting.

When you are dealt two aces as your hand, you should always split this hand. That’s because the best hand both aces can give you is 12, whereas if you split them you have two hands with an ace in which will give you two soft hands. From there you will have a much better chance of winning.

If you are dealt two tens, then you should never split. While some advanced card counters may split the deck if they are feeling extra confident, the vast majority of players will never split on a hand of 20, for two hands that are likely to be weaker. Standing on two tens is the right move for 99% of players.

Take advantage of promotions

If you are going to play Blackjack as an online game, then it can often be most useful for you to find some bonuses. This will allow you to increase the amount that you have to play with, without the need to make additional deposits yourself. This will give you the ability to play for longer, which achieves two things. You will be able to gain more experience of playing Blackjack, and you will have a longer period of time to be able to put your new skills into practice and hopefully having more success than you have in the past. There are also free games available at a range of sites that will allow you to practice and gain experience without having to take a risk.

This is something that you can do without really having to learn anything, though. The next two tips will take a small amount of learning, although not as much as some of the more advanced ones out there.

Bankroll management

When it comes to managing your bankroll, this is vitally important when it comes to allowing you to play for long periods and increasing your chances of making a profit. The best method for beginners is the up and pull method, which can be used for an online game and brick and mortar casinos. With this method, you will increase your wager by one unit when you win, but drop back down to your starting wager level when you lose. This allows you to take advantage of a winning streak, while not losing big if you go on a losing streak.

Doubling down

Doubling down is where you can take advantage of some bonus winnings. Doubling down is when you double your wager on the condition that you will get just one more card. This gambit can give big winnings, so it should only be used when extremely confident. The best time to double down is when you have a hand of 10 or 11, without holding an ace. If your hand is higher than the dealer’s, then you should double down. This will give you the best chance of winning, especially as it is impossible to go bust from this position.
